perfect for weekend travel, can be used for longer travel if you tend to pack light. Lots of pockets to put things in, and it open flats like a suitcase! but you can put it on your back and take it on a plane very easily. and, usual Vera Bradley quality. Love the color!

It holds a lot if you pack it correctlyI packed 4 outfits, sandals & flip flops, accessories, swimsuit, pajamas, toiletries, small crossbody, phones/chargers, etc. It didn’t feel heavy on my shoulders & I didn’t have any issue with the mesh like other people did. Just took this backpack as a personal item to Europe and on 3 different airlines with no issues at all. It had all the features that I was specifically looking for – suitcase opening, trolley sleeve, water bottle pocket, compression straps, and several organization compartments. It had it all and I even found an extra pocket that I didn’t even know it had to bring home souvenirs. I packed almost as much as my rolling carry-on. So glad I found this at the last minute!
